After a two and a half year absence from shooting we’re back! I got some equipment together then wanted to have the first shoot as a nice, smooth re-introduction to shooting so I contacted the beautiful and very nice Amelia Jane Rutherford who had been greatly recommended.

I wanted to work with Amelia partly because she’s totally hot and very famous in this niche, and partly because I knew she’d be very easy to work with. Part of the thing about shooting is that there is a lot to think about at the same time, so for the first shoot there will be things I’d have forgotten. I think from when I have shot in LA there are easy and hard people to work with. While I’m getting used to shooting again and making sure I’ve got everything I need the last thing I need is someone who is hard to work with because it’s just something extra to make the difficulty even harder than it has to be.

The shoot went very well, Amelia was absolutely amazing to work with, very professional and looks very good indeed in the content… I hardly did any direction at all, which was good because it enabled me to work on framing, lighting and making sure everything was ok in the shot. Amelia was very creative so it was great to see her ideas.. which were all very good.

The one blessing in disguise was that the PA who was going to come down and help out didn’t show up. This just meant that instead of three people it was just the two of us, so obviously it was harder to do some of the shots than it might have been but also it just simplified everything a little bit more. The next shoot will be with three or more people but I’ll make sure whoever is there as well as the talent will actually show up and do what they need to do.

This shoot was pretty easy for me I got some girls to come down for a client who wanted to shoot a few foot-fetish scenes. The main scenes started much later than planned but the 3 girl scene and a solo and 2 girl scene also happened.

The girls were Mika Tan from the 10 fetish shoot, Kimberly Kane from the custom foot-fetish video shoot and Lyla Lei from many of my shoots including the 5 girl shoot.

June was a crazy month at the studio so my next shoot was at the start of July.

I had been talking to a few hot girls about the possibility of them working with us and they all seemed very into it. As such we had three new girls work with us on this shoot, the main photographer was Felix and the main cameraman was the same cameraman from the Kimberly Kane shoot (when I find out the name he wants me to use I’ll add it here.)

For this shoot we had a staggered arrival schedule. First, Lauren Kain, Ana Nova and Lyla Lei got to the studio around 10am. After makeup and dressing we got down to the “pretty girl” stills and shot two 20 minute video clips. Cleopatra of the Nile and Mistress Kat 9 arrived in the afternoon to join Lyla for an even more fetishy setup.

The first setup was a three girl domination scene, it was very fetishy with lots of talking and shouting abuse. Lyla was the sub and the two other girls were the dommes. The girls all worked very well together and the scene was amazingly hot. I had only worked with Lyla before out of the three so I was very happy and relieved that things went so well.

The next setup was with the same three girls, this time it was a foot frenzy: the girls. Sat together on the bed and played with each others feet and talked dirty to the camera. Again, very hot stuff, can’t wait to get the edited footage back.

We did a lot of quick solo and pair mini-shoots but the final proper setup was with Mistress Kat 9 tying up and tickling Lyla Lei and Cleopatra of the Nile. I think this went well. I let Kat direct the scene and I stepped out of the room so as not to make it even hotter. The schreiks of laughter coming from the dungeon sounded great and the video should be very good.

Tyler Stevens is awesome!! I’m really pleased that after she worked with me on only my third shoot the experience was good enough for her to want to come back to the studio and work with us again.

Its starting to get hot in Los Angeles, so an afternoon shoot was always going to be hot and sticky but Tyler spends a lot of time in Miami so she’s no stranger to the heat.

We got together with Felix and shot 4 scenes: one in the bedroom, one in the upstairs bathroom, one by a nearby wall of graffitti and one on the increasingly popular black and white tiles of the studio. In the bedroom we shot the stills first then ran through a second time for video and I filmed some of the other scenes as Felix was photographing due to time constraints.

All-in-all there were 4 changes of clothing/makeup, 4 different sets and 2 locations in 4 hours. This didn’t break any records in terms of speed but it was pretty good going. Tyler was looking amazing and the sets and scenery were good so I can’t wait to get the video and still photos back and start using them. Initial feedback from glancing at the photos is that they are great.

I’d seen Kimberly Kane at the studio recently so when she told me that she needed to shoot a custom video for a fan I offered to let her shoot here and help her out a little bit.

This was a very short, snappy production. From start to finish it lasted an hour, that included: one run through for stills and a run through for video. We got the video edited down over-night and presented her with the DVD and the stills the next day.

Kimberly Kane was great to work with and I’m becoming a big fan of hers. Check out her website Kane Army and her new DVDs, Naked and Famous came out last week.

Exactly one week after my last production we had my largest shoot to date. Kat9 and Thora Nang, from this shoot, joined up with Lyla Lei, from this shoot, and Mika Tan. The photographer was Felix Fotography and I filmed 4 scenes of video. Also present and in one of the scenes was Thora’s slave.

The morning before this shoot was the first time that I had felt nervous going into a shoot for a while. I was mainly thinking that it would be the biggest shoot I’d done so far and I wanted to get a lot done as we had a lot of talented people together at once. With this kind of shoot I felt that it was important to get girls working together who had not worked together before.

The day was slightly more chaotic than normal, as you’d expect with more people, but the advantage was that we were able to split into two groups and have stills being shot at the same time as the video was being filmed. As a result in roughly 6 hours we did numerous still scenes and four 15 minute video scenes.

As well as the great content we produced I was also pleased to introduce Felix to Mika and give him a chance to shoot Lyla as he did not get a chance in this shoot. I also think its great that Felix and Mika have worked together again in the time its taken me to post this review.

With anything I do I want to enable quality content to happen and I also want everyone involved to be happy. After this shoot in particular everyone was very happy and eager to see the content.

Up to this point my solo productions had been with one female talent. When both Kat9 and Lyla Lei told me that they wanted to shoot I was very happy indeed. I love the look of both girls and I think they contrast very well in the shots they did together.

For photographers I had the very talented Ernie Varela and Porno Dave, a cameraman who used to film Brittany Andrews‘ Talking Blue show, Felix also shot one scene. Dave slotted into the team very well and filmed three solo scenes with Lyla while Ernie filmed Kat9.

I learned a lot from this shoot, which I’m very pleased about because I’m definitely getting used to production. We shot 12 scenes that were a combination of solo and girl/girl, at times we shot each girl simulatneously or Lyla Lei would do some video while Kat did stills in a different room of the studio.

I’d known Kiss for a while, so I was very thankful when I had the opportunity to shoot her a few days after the Tyler Stevens shoot.

I did very little production or direction but I showed up at Kiss’s place with a camera and took pictures while she posed for me on the stairs, in the bathroom and in the lounge. Anyone that has met Kiss will know that she has a great personality and energy. In this very small shoot, our limitations were mainly due to the camera I was using being very slow and me just getting used to it.

I took maybe 50 pics with the still camera and we also did two scenes of video in the bathroom. The video turned out ok and some of the stills look great in my opinion. The picture below is one of my favorites.

Up to this point I’d probably had 5 shoots where I was either the producer or PA but this was my third production.

I met Tyler Stevens when she came to the studio to shoot for someone else. I told her about what I did and she said that she’d love to come down and do a shoot when she had some spare time. She’s based in Florida so I was very pleased that she had a spare afternoon before she had to leave.

I’d been very happy with everything up to this point but this was the first shoot where we got some amazing shots and crammed a lot into a short space time. We got 4 and a half still scenes and 2 short video clips filmed in less than 4 hours. I had the luxury of not being a photographer this time, instead we had Ernie Varela and Felix Salzman, a fashion photographer we know. This is a great team of people. Ernie, Felix and myself have worked on other projects together and we’re all of a similar age with very positive energy.

Tyler and I did two very short video clips while the photographers took a break. My camerawork was steady. In hindsight I might have got closer for certain shots but generally speaking I’ve been told that I did a great job for a first time.

What made this shoot was the model, Tyler Stevens. She was amazing!! From the first moment I’d seen her at the studio I could appreciate her beauty but it was only when we began the first scene that I could see how creative and easy-to-work with she was. She worked hard and went the extra mile for the shots. I enjoyed working with her immensely.

“Easy-to-work” is the main quality in people I look for. Shoots can be stressful, I need a team of people who, by their attitude and personalities, are not going to add extra pressure and will create an atmosphere that is productive and artistic.
